Who We Are
Here at Coffee 'N Code, we make projects happen.
We are a student run club aiming to break down the barriers
into the tech industry, acting as the stepping stone for
students wanting to dive into the tech world.
How It Works
Every term, we teach 4-5 projects in parallel on a weekly basis ranging from software, hardware, design and data science. Your goal is to pick one of the projects and to work through it until the end of the term to have a completed project plus new technical skills under your belt!

Overall Tasks
As part of the marketing team I mostly created content and copies for the club’s social media platforms
increasing traffic and page followers to 900+. I also oversaw marketing materials from copies to creative
visuals prior to sharing on social media.
Marketing Director
As the Marketing Director (2018) I was the voice of Coffee 'n Code,
writing appropriate event and club copies for our social media platforms,
emails and partner relations, I worked closely with the Marketing VP and
Creative Director to create and execute on marketing initiatives. Below
are examples of my work as the marketing director.

Marketing VP
As the Marketing Vice President, I was responsible for spreading the mission
of Coffee 'n Code. I led and guided the marketing team, which consisted of a
Marketing and Creative Director, with weekly deliverables for our social
media platforms. I oversaw marketing materials prior to submission
As well as ideated additional marketing tactics to further make our presence known;
My goal as the Marketing VP was to get to know our attendees and make them feel part
of the community rather than just being a weekly attendee.
Below are examples of my work as the marketing VP:

We finally created an instagram account to post our creative materials on
(follow us @coffeencodeuw):

I created numerous banners, posters and Instagram posts pertaining to Coffee ‘n Code
content, events, meetings and workshops. I initiated the #myCupofCode posts, which is
a spin-off form #HumansofNewYork, to give our attendees a voice and a chance to share their tech-journey and reason
for joining Coffee 'n Code. This hashtag informed our social media followers about
the people of Coffee ‘n Code, executives and attendees:

Growth Team
I helped onboard the new Marketing Team as part of the Growth Team.
The overall goal of the growth team is to have more public relations,
create relationships with the start-up community in Kitchener-Waterloo
and prolong Coffee ‘n Code’s club and community with the help of sponsors.

my experience
So Far...
If it were not for this club, I would not have truly understood
my CS course or built my personal website! In all honesty, Coffee 'n Code
is where I met my current mentors and made life long friends who are as
curious and tech-passionate as I am. From interpersonal skills to learning
basic coding languages, we helped each other reach our personal goals and I
am forever thankful to this wholesome family!
